Humulus Sweater Knit Along


Join us on Tuesday evenings in October from 5:30 - 7:00 pm as we knit the beautiful Humulus sweater by Isabell Kraemer—check out the Humulus projects page on Ravelry for color combination inspiration! The sweater is knit top down so that you can try it on as you go and get the perfect fit. The sweater in the picture to the left is knit with 5” of positive ease.

Skill level: Advanced beginner/intermediate

Dates/Times: Tuesdays in October from 5:30 - 7:00 pm (10/2, 10/9, 10/16, 10/23, 10/30)

  • Worsted weight yarn in main color: 1094 - 1783 yards

  • Worsted weight yarn in contrast color: 150 - 220 yards

  • US 5 16” and 32” (CHECK GAUGE!)

  • US 6 24” and 32” circular needles and DPNs or longer circular needle for magic loop for sleeves

  • US 7 32” for yoke color work section (This is not in the pattern, but it helps keep your color work stitches looser.)

Apple Cozy Crochet Class

Skill Level: Easy


Learn to make an apply cozy for your favorite teacher or lunch packer! If you are familiar with basic single crochet stitch, it will help. You will learn to double crochet in the round, half-double crochet, and slip stitch.

Materials Needed:

  • Red or green DK cotton yarn

  • Crochet hook sizes 3.5mm/E

  • 1 - ¾” button

  • 1 tapestry needle

  • Thread & needle to sew button on

 Cost: $20 plus materials

Beginner Mittens Knit Class

Instructor: Ellie Boylan



Section One: 10/5 & 10/12 from 5-6:30pm

Section Two: 10/7 & 10/14 from 4-5:30pm

Skill Level: Adventurous beginner - intermediate


Learn to make a basic mitten. Students should be familiar with casting on and basic knitting and purling stitches. Students will learn to increase, decrease, place stitches on holder for later use, and the Kitchener Stitch.

Materials Needed:

  • 1 skein of Noro Kureyon Air

  • 1 set of DPN’s US 10.5

  • 1 stitch holder (piece of yarn can substitute)

  • 1 stitch marker (piece of yarn can substitute)

  • 1 tapestry needle

 Cost: $30 plus materials

Kids Knit - Hogwarts Scarf

Join us after school for four weeks to get sorted into your Hogwarts house and then make your very own scarf.

  • Dates: Sept. 19, 26, Oct. 3, 10

  • Times: 3:30pm - 4:45pm

  • Ages: 8 and up

  • Cost: $40 (Materials not included)

  • Materials: 2 skeins of Uptown Bulky and US 13 16” circular (Approx. $20 after a 10% discount is applied)

Leaves will soon be falling and it's a great time to knit these fun autumn leaves. You'll learn how to create short rows using the wrap and turn method.

Noro Kureyon is suggested but any worsted weight yarn will work.
